YDC Overview

Established in 1997, Young Entrepreneurs Development Council (YDC) is a youth-oriented non-profit making charitable organization whose goal is to enhance Hong Kong’s sustainable competitiveness.

Through the hosting of interactive programs to facilitate career and life planning of students, YDC strives to inspire and cultivate entrepreneurial spirit among Hong Kong’s young people, help them realize their potentials and dreams, and unleash their creativity for the betterment of themselves and the society. For two decades, YDC’s activities are supported by a broad array of leading enterprises and professionals who provide mentorship to students through the sharing of experience, ideas and core values.

Members of YDC are home grown entrepreneurs and professionals who believe that our society can become more innovative and excel beyond limitation – in the same way successful entrepreneurs do amid challenges and opportunities. Acting as volunteers, they take up the multifarious roles of organizers, mentors, judges and guest speakers of YDC programs to nurture talents. Over 2,000 entrepreneurs and professionals have provided voluntary service for YDC activities.
